2016 Tertio de Montrose

 


A super tasty 3rd by a "Super 2nd". 

Nice nose with some still-forward oak over the tell-tale St. Estephe minerality and nice black cherry, blackcurrant, plum and a touch of bay leaf.

Supple on the palate with softened, resolved tannins, nice balanced acidity and freshness. The fruit is bright and ripe, well balanced by good earthiness. For an affordable 3rd label, it checks all the boxes, readily. Enjoy it now.
